Beverley and East Riding Early Music Festival 2026 Miracles & Mysteries

For the 2026 Beverley & East Riding Early Music Festival, Miracles & Mysteries provided the inspiration for a distinctive visual identity rooted in the rich history and architectural heritage of Beverley.

At the heart of the design is a collection of original, hand-drawn and painted imagery, inspired by the intricate tracery and medieval character of the window at Beverley Minster. These illustrations bring a sense of wonder, craftsmanship and historical depth to the festival’s visual identity, creating a connection between the music, the theme and the place in which it is performed.

The resulting artwork forms the foundation of a cohesive identity, carrying the spirit of Miracles & Mysteries across printed and digital materials.

Beverley and East Riding Early Music Festival 2026 Miracles & Mysteries Brochure design

The 2026 festival brochure brings the programme together in an engaging and accessible format, pairing clear, considered typography with original hand-drawn and painted illustrations.

Inspired by the architectural detail of Beverley Minster, the imagery gives the brochure a distinctive sense of place, while evoking the mystery and imagination at the heart of the festival’s programme.

Supporting posters, flyers and event-specific literature extend the visual identity across print and promotional materials, allowing the illustrated artwork to take centre stage and creating a consistent look and feel throughout the festival.

In addition to the main brochure, our work included posters, flyers, signage, and event-specific handouts, ensuring brand consistency at every audience touchpoint. Each item was designed to be informative, accessible and aligned with the festival’s prestigious identity.

From venue signage to promotional displays, the festival’s visual identity carries through into the spaces where audiences experience the events.

The original illustrations, inspired by Beverley Minster’s historic window, provide a recognisable visual thread across roller banners and supporting display materials, helping create a welcoming and memorable presence at festival venues.
