The Two Rivers Trail
We worked with The Merchant Adventurers' Hall to bring York’s Two Rivers Trail to life, celebrating the city's iconic rivers, the Ouse and the Foss. The trail highlights the rich history that flows along these waterways, connecting visitors to York's heritage in a fresh and engaging way.
Our role was to create a structure to the trail and a strategy that would capture the essence of this story. We developed the identity "A Trail of Two Rivers," which visually reflects the significance of these rivers and their impact on the city.
To engage a wider audience, we also tapped into social media, using strategic posts to build anticipation and excitement around the exhibition.
We carried this theme through every part of the project, from designing informative lectern panels that blend historical facts with modern design, to creating an interactive web app that allows users to explore the trail’s landmarks and stories in greater depth.
Our goal was to make the history of York’s rivers not only educational but also fun and interactive, inspiring both locals and visitors to connect with the city’s past in a new way.
